my book club keeps on wanting to read middlesex but WE KEEP VOTING IT DOWN.

READ IT IF YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT. To be honest, the book is more like his family's history, and everything about the child is kind of rushed over.

To be honest, I do, but only because the book seems like it's strictly about the child, and then kind of says "WELL WE'LL GET THERE LATER".

I got my copy for free, so I thought it'd be interesting, BUT, YES. DEFINITELY PICK IT UP.
