bookwormmeme

HEY ♥ So as most of you know already, I'm Annay, one of your moddydoddies. QNNG [personal profile] yosuke is the FAAAAAAAAAAR more adept one but between the two of us, we'll keep everyting in line. ANYWAY, to kind of ease ourselves into this whole thing, I think it'd be super to kind of get a feel for what we all like to read. So I've concocted a meme with this handy little form, which you can definitely fill out and...etc. etc. you get the point. All of the rules still apply so make sure you read them before doing anything nasty, otherwise we'll...get you. ...Despite the fact that we're not threatening at all.

OKAY, LET'S HAVE SOME FUN ♥

Oh, and a pimp code if you want!

HI I'M... Erica
FAVORITE BOOK(S) | A Wrinkle in Time (Madeleine L'Engle), Sense and Sensibility (Jane Austen), Prom Dates from Hell (Rosemary Clement-Moore), The Hobbit (JRR Tolkien)
FAVORITE AUTHOR(S) | Barbara Michaels, MM Kaye, Madeleine L'Engle, Jane Austen, Rosemary Clement-Moore, Tamora Pierce, Meg Cabot, Michelle Jaffe, Julie Kenner, Kate Collins, Victoria Holt, JRR Tolkien, Terry Brooks, Jasper Fforde, Carolyn Keene, Mary Stewart, Gail Carson Levine, Victoria Laurie, Shanna Swendson, and Michael Crichton
ETC. | I specialized in children's/YA literature during my library studies so that partially explains the amount of YA authors in the above list. I also have a penchant for mysteries (both of the cozy and supernatural sort).

Exactly! ❤
And I love how she has one for just about every time in a girl's life, from grade school to mid-thirties.

Carolyn Keene sounds familiar - what are some of her popular titles?

She (or rather the ghost writers under her name) wrote the Nancy Drew series ❤

NANCY DREW! MY CHILDHOOD AHHH! I meant to collect all of the hardbound editions, but sadly failed. I WISH TO CONTINUE COLLECTING THEM. I forgot to add that to my favorite books!

Same here! I started collecting them again a couple of years ago and it's so wonderfully nostalgic to read them again after all of these years ❤

man when I read a wrinkle in time, I actually listened to the audiobook... and kinda fell asleep...... and the only thing I remember is MITOCHONDRIA AND UNICORNS HAHAHAA.

Crichton is amazing! I just finished Sphere recently. 8))

Hehe, I so can't picture it as an audiobook with the way it's written XD

He is! How was Sphere? That's next up on my list after I finish State of Fear.

Sphere was REALLY GOOD. I'm actually not really into action/plotty/page turners normally (Sphere was my first Crichton!), but he is such a brilliantly fluid writer! I felt like I just had to, well, keep turning the pages hahaha. I loved the plot; it was really inventive. 8)
